El Grande is another saddle with a distinct heritage, from the heart of Mexico.
Styled with a half-seat, used after 1860, the El Grande carries the flavor of the rich haciendas of Old Mexico. The full-throated Mexican horn, tapaderoes and single piece fender/stirrup leathers are all traits derived from its Spanish heritage.
The serpentine tooling is also traditional in Mexico, and the saddle is ornamented with a brass and silver Texas star set into the horn.
