As horsemen, we test our saddles for comfort and durability the old fashioned way -- we ride them ourselves!
Our Legacy saddles are built the same way as the original drover saddles: They are completely hand-made, each an individual creation.
All saddles are hand-cut, each piece individually fitted, and hand-laced, authentic to the period.
All hardware is solid brass. (For the convenience of our customers who don't demand complete authenticity, quick-change Blevins buckles are available on request.)
Our saddles are crafted from 12-to-14 ounce Wickett and Craig skirting leather, in chestnut. No light-weight or belly leather is used in their construction.
Each Legacy Line saddle is built on a bull-hide wrapped Timberline tree, which carries the best guarantee in the industry.
We offer Texas-style square skirt and a California-style round skirt models, to fit long or short-backed horses. All saddles are half-seats with Sam-Stagg or over-the-swell rigging.
